Repair
To maintain or to recreate the value of a vehicle – that
is the objective not only of planned maintenance work
but also of repairing accident-damaged vehicles.
All the activities carried out within the framework of
this task are completed in close collaboration with the
sectors Engineering, Electronics and Production.
This is intended to ensure that your repaired vehicle
leaves the workshops in A1 condition, is once again
fully fit for service and complies with the latest state
of the art.
With their personnel and technical equipment, our
four central workshops in particular are in a position
to solve even the most awkward problems.
General Overhaul
Due to their outstanding quality of workmanship,
MAGIRUS products have an above-average service
life. This means that many a vehicle is still in daily use
with well over twenty years’ service to its credit.
A general overhaul makes it possible to modernise
such a vehicle from the bottom up thanks to the
networked expertise of the manufacturer and possible
to make modifications to suit it completely to the
demands of today.Updates and improvements are
automatically incorporated in the course of the overhaul
– and thus impart long-serving vehicles a new
lease of life.
As a rule, the following work is carried out in overhauling
a turntable ladder:
- restore of the ladder set pre-stressing
- sandblasting, sealing and painting the ladder set
- inspection and replacement as necessary of all
winch cables
- inspection of all switches and control elements
- visual check of all superstructure elements and
fittings including rescue cage and platform
