LAAD SECURITY 2012 took place recently in Rio de Janeiro. There were more than 30,000 visitors. This is the largest trade fair for security, fire prevention, civil and disaster protection in Brazil and for the whole of South and Middle America.

Fascination fire fighting - Iveco Magirus SuperDragon 8x8 Lego Model
During a visit to the Interschutz 2010 in Leipzig Marc Bierwirth, a 10 years old high school student from Halle on the Saale, was so fascinated by the Iveco Magirus Super Dragon 8x8 for the Hong Kong airport, that in the following months this vehicle did not leave him anymore in peace. He had decided to recreate the Iveco Magirus Super Dragon out of Lego blocks.

Iveco Magirus Rescue Vehicle with Crane for the Fire Brigade of Bellinzona / Switzerland
Bellinzona is the main town of the canton Ticino in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Bellinzona has approx. 17,000 inhabitants and is thus the second-largest town in the canton, the largest being Lugano. The situation of Bellinzona at the foot of the Gotthard massif and at the junction of the transeuropean routes to the alpine passes Sankt Gotthard, Lukmanier, San Bernardino and Nufenen is an important special feature of this town which also has a significant influence on the operations profile of its fire services. Technical assistance and rescue operations represent the main operative emphases for the rescue teams. In order to continue to improve their power of impact in precisely these areas, a new IVECO MAGIRUS rescue vehicle with crane has recently been procured.

IVECO MAGIRUS recently delivered three interesting refinery fire-fighting vehicles. These vehicles were ordered by the company Petro China, Beijing, and delivered to the N’Djamena Refinery Company LDT in the Chad in Central Africa. They will operate on a new oil field which will be taken into service from May 2011. With these exceptional vehicles IVECO MAGIRUS proves once more again its competence even in this highly specialized operations vehicle segment.
